Five museums, including private showcases dedicated to Maserati and Fiat, are included on the tour.

An added incentive: Visitors dropping by one of the museums will get reduced-price admission at the others if they present a ticket stub. The exhibition runs through Oct. 31.

Bob Lutz, General Motors vice chairman and internationally renowned product guru, has reversed his retirement plans and is expected to stay with the remade car company as it charts a new path out of bankruptcy.

The British Motor Show might have fallen by the wayside, but the Midlands Motor Show is doing a fantastic job of filling its place! Taking place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on the weekend of 1 and 2 August, the newly conceived Expo has already attracted over 40 manufacturers from across the globe.

And in a bid to stay as relevant to the modern motor industry as possible, the organisers have just announced a special environmental display, highlighting a range of eco-initiatives by Coventry City Council.

Over the next two years 110 electric vehicles will be trialled by the Council for the purpose of collecting data. And three of those will be on display to the public – a Smart EV, Mitsubishi iMIEV and a Tata Indica Vista EV.

Other attractions, apart from the feast of new metal, includes a concert featuring Motown singing group The Mysteries, a Gala Dinner Function and an automotive themed charity auction.

Auto Express has already thrown its support behind the show, which has been granted free use of the Ricoh Arena venue for this inaugural event – a sure sign that the motoring industry is clubbing together in difficult times.

Nissan has taken the wraps off its production-bound electric vehicle, named Leaf, that is plans to sell in Japan, the United States and Europe.

The Leaf seats five and measures 175 inches long--about the same size as a Versa sedan. It uses an 80-kilowatt AC electric motor and draws from a laminated lithium-ion battery pack--the same type of batteries used by cellular telephones and laptop computers. Nissan says the Leaf will have a driving range of 100 miles. The battery pack is mounted under the car's seats and floor.

Using a direct-current quick charger, Nissan says the Leaf's battery pack can be recharged up to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. Recharging at home, with 200-volt AC service, will take less than 8 hours. Regenerative braking is also a key factor in extending the Leaf's range.

Nissan says the Leaf will be priced at about the same as a well-equipped C-segment vehicle--such as the Sentra--which points toward a sticker price somewhere near the $30,000 range.

Power-saving technologies include the use of light-emitting diodes for the headlamps, which are also shaped to direct airflow around the front door mirrors. Owners will be able to use their mobile phones to command the car's air conditioning to turn on.

这样的天气又让人想起成都千年以来时常出现的 “窗含西岭千秋雪---肉眼千里见雪山”的日子。那是去年的7月22日，现在也快7月了，不知道今年又会在几时出现，希望这次我也能抓拍下来！

这次和去年的大小余震还很不相同，很激烈，感觉不单单是有东西摇晃的叮当声响，简直就是有人要拆老子的床，转着圈的摇，和小时候爬杆被人在下面猛摇差不多了！其实最担心的还是房子，到处都已经裂了，怕它随时都会塌掉。。。

一大俗：背景虚化

不知道啥时候开始，人们评价镜头的时候会说“焦外虚化漂亮”了；很多人于是一定要买一颗能够“虚化背景”的大光圈镜头，好让镜头里的美女从背景里凸现出来、而背景恨不得都是有颜色的雾。
——你让美女直接站在一块毛玻璃跟前拍，不好么？。。。
